Knock off the platform warring, now!

The thread title is "The Road to 160m+ for Nintendo Switch." Keep it on topic. Give updates on the running tally. Make projections based on rate of decline. Speculate about what Nintendo may or may not do to nudge it over the 160M line. Things along those lines.

But this isn't going to be a partisan pissing contest where people start putting asterisks next to every console they're not a fan of just to be like "Those sales don't count." We can invoke caveats all day trying to one-up each other, but at the end of the day a console sold what it did, and no amount of going "but" or "actually" or "what if?" will change that number. Either a system passed a particular milestone or breaks a particular record, or it didn't.

Honestly, I wish we lived in a world where people were happy their favorite console did well, were never upset at a competing console doing well (because it's not a zero-sum contest), and looked at sales figures with purely academic interest. But, sadly, we don't live in that world. We live in a world where people get antagonistic over electronic toys, and that's why we need mod teams to keep the order.
