I can see that happening.

That could be smart. Even with price increases, Lite is a good deal cheaper than Switch 2 despite its low specs even for its price. 

Switch and especially Switch OLED are pretty close to the price of Switch 2. Their purpose is coming to an end.

I would not be surprised if the other models are discontinued in 2026 or 2027 and Switch Lite is left standing until 2030 or so. I picture Switch Lite as the budget Nintendo device that you see 1-3 of in stock at the store while there are a few rows of Switch 2.

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)
