Having now played through it, I feel like it's a bit too niche to do big numbers sales wise.

Still a good game though; I ended up adding a handicap to the CPU so that I didn't have to sweat so much, made it much more enjoyable. As a matter of fact, the game is actually really good in terms of accessibility features, with way more than your typical Nintendo game.

It's also just nice to be able to enjoy a Sakurai game as I could never get into Smash as fighting games aren't my thing, even though I did always like his style.

Same for me.

I don't really feel that despite my hardest to try and enjoy the latest Smash Bros. I can't play beyond the casual mindset meaning I end up with not so much of a good time in the end beyond the single players aspects.

Which I'm glad to say that despite sucking much in the online department. It doesn't feel like you're having a bad time online even if you do suck in comparison here !

So basically I played 10 hours or so during my first session, testing out pretty every mode in the process. Everything's worthwhile to invest yourself in. City Trial is definitely the king here though.

There's the story "Road Trip" mode which surprised me when I got to the cutscenes because WOW those looked unlike the stuff you'd see in Kirby. Prolly the same studio which produced the Smash ones. Don't know how to feel about the realistic omnipotent eldritch god Nova clock in space 😅 But that chapter 6 cutscene is just a good nightmare fuel lol.

Anywoo, I'm about halfway through that mode which is much longer than I expected at first !
