Majora's Mask was technically the first top 40 game but now we enter it in earnest. Twilight Princess was the first 3D Zelda game I played actually though not the first one I beat. Twilight Princess is perhaps the game that comes closest to being a more modern Ocarina of Time only with the added elements of the Dark World, some great characters, cool new items and possibly the most epic ending of a Zelda game. Ironically what holds it back the most is perhaps the simplicity of the Wolf form sections, which is a bit of shame since Wolf Link is really cool he just can't really... do much. But other than that this is to me the defacto traditional Zelda game and actually my biggest hope for the series is the next entry tries to blend Twiling Princess with elements from Breath of the Wild which is something that has great potential in my mind.
