Given that Microsoft for 5 years has had a cheap Xbox series S on the market and still had some trouble cracking 30M sales this gen, i don't see how their sales don't collapse fully next gen, especially in more price sensitive markets outside the US.

What is crazy is that like over half of xbox series console sales are actually the S model.

This means if you compare actual PS5 sales vs equivalent in power series X, that is like 80m sales vs like ~16m Series X's.

It's all but guaranteed when just looking at Series X vs all models of PS5 that the ratio of PlayStation dominance will exceed even Xbox vs. PS2.

Xbox: 24.65 mil units

PS2: 160.01 mil units

PS2 outsold Xbox globally about 6.49 to 1.

If there are about 17-18 million Series X models sold vs. 115-130 million PS5 units sold, that's around at least 7 to 1, if not closer to 8 to 1 on the higher end.

And PS5 vs Xbox Series overall is going to end around 3 to 1, if not 4 to 1.

Lifetime Sales Predictions

Switch: 161 million (was 73 million, then 96 million, then 113 million, then 125 million, then 144 million, then 151 million, then 156 million)

PS5: 122 million (was 105 million, then 115 million) Xbox Series X/S: 38 million (was 60 million, then 67 million, then 57 million. then 48 million. then 40 million)

Switch 2: 120 million (was 116 million)

PS4: 120 mil (was 100 then 130 million, then 122 million) Xbox One: 51 mil (was 50 then 55 mil)

3DS: 75.5 mil (was 73, then 77 million)
