When both consoles shares 90% of their library and only one is available for purchase the choice is obvious. People bought a Series S because even if PS5 is a better console all arround Series S was still going to play all its games except for few Playstation first party titles and an eventual Sony published second party. With Sony exclusive line up being rather mediocre there is no reason to get the PS5 down the line if you already have the Series S or X
Still, just bad luck for Sony. They had the right console, just not the right stock
