I thought the discussion was whether or not the consensus viewed the Wii and Wii-U COD games as bad. No? That's why I brought up the majority. Because if that was the discussion, what the majority of people thought certainly does matter. In fact, it's all that matters. As for the Switch 2 version, if it does eventually release, it won't just be graphically worse. Everything about it will be worse. It's a handheld, not a home console. It was not designed to handle GTA 6 and games of that ilk. It was designed like almost all Nintendo consoles were designed: to be able to showcase first party IP first and foremost. And people who buy it should know that going in. Don't buy Nintendo consoles for third party games. Buy them for Nintendo games. And if you get a surprise gem here and there, be grateful. Because it's a rare feat. Very rare. |
Whether something is good or bad is entirely subjective.
Again, it doesn't matter if it doesn't have parity with PS5 or Xbox Series; the target audience for such a port already knows it won't be on par, they're buying either cos they prefer portability, or cos they don't have a PS5/Xbox. Third party is not at all insignificant on Nintendo; around half of all Switch 1 software ever sold was third party.
