What the majority think actually doesn't matter as long as it appeals to enough people to be commercially successful. Most gamers for instance aren't interested in say Xenoblade or Fire Emblem but those IPs still sell enough to be worth making. Switch 2 gamers don't care if a game is graphically worse than PS/Xbox/PC. |
I thought the discussion was whether or not the consensus viewed the Wii and Wii-U COD games as bad. No? That's why I brought up the majority. Because if that was the discussion, what the majority of people thought certainly does matter. In fact, it's all that matters.
As for the Switch 2 version, if it does eventually release, it won't just be graphically worse. Everything about it will be worse. It's a handheld, not a home console. It was not designed to handle GTA 6 and games of that ilk. It was designed like almost all Nintendo consoles were designed: to be able to showcase first party IP first and foremost. And people who buy it should know that going in. Don't buy Nintendo consoles for third party games. Buy them for Nintendo games. And if you get a surprise gem here and there, be grateful. Because it's a rare feat. Very rare.
