The cutbacks are there, but that was always an inevitability; portable tech is simply less powerful than consoles and there's no way around that.

I feel like Redlynx did a good job cutting back in areas that aren't super noticeable like secondary props and such, so that the game still holds up okay, even if it's not as detailed as the "full fat" version. The trick with ports like this is making the right sacrifices.

And yeah, being an Nvidia chip helps, as it gives them that edge even if the raw power is still less.

Agreed.  My comment wasn't a jab at the cut backs but giving credit.  Good choices were made and the cut backs have minor impact.  It was a good decision to keep fps largely locked.

Only major issue I saw was pop but seems reasonable to expect a patch.

Overall the game runs better than I would have guessed.

Oh I didn't take it as a jab, I agree with you. Downports are always a matter of choosing your battles, and Redlynx choose well here.

Given how rough pre-release footage looked, I was kinda expecting a disaster here, it seemed like every time we saw it over the last few months it the footage ran horribly. They must have really pulled it together in the last few weeks.
