Wasn't the "DQXI S treatment" pretty much a death wish for Iwata? I don't think they will bother to make a custom made version of Rebirth for the Switch 2 just because.

It being a request from Iwata doesn't change the fact that they pulled it off though, I doubt the reworking was so extensive just because of his death.

It's not the only such conversion on Switch; games like Sniper Elite 4, Zombie Army 4, Strange Brigade, Ace Combat 7, Nier Automata, and Alien Isolation also managed to look remarkably close to the full fat console versions in spite of the power gap through careful and clever tweaking.
