Yes because the hardware on consoles it out of date.  The ps5 is a 2018 (give or take) GPU....

As for the rest, depends on the average gamer.  I get we are into the details but would guess the average gamer will find Snake Eater beautiful and won't even notice the resolution or fps.  We care.  Does the average gamer?

PS5 is still the current gen; just my two cents, devs should focus on making their games run well on current machines instead of pushing eye candy at the expense of performance.

Performance here isn't disastrous by any means, but I would argue that if they lowered some settings to optimize performance, most players wouldn't really notice the cutbacks.
