Personally I find the showcase of Cyber overrated. Cyberpunk runs 1080p/60fps on a 1060 from 2016. People have this idea that Cyber destroys high end PC, which isn't true. Path tracing, when activated, brings high end PCs to their knees... the S2 isn't doing path tracing. And this isn't unique to Cyber. Same is true with AW2, Black Myth and Indiana. Running base Cyber, no RT, doesn't require a high end GPU. Don't get me wrong, it is a great port. But Cyber isn't Outlaws or GTA6. And according to DF, Cyber on the S2 basically doesn't use RT, minus a few headlights. Even Phantom on a 1060 runs 1080p/30fps. Again, a 2016 GPU. Personally my full judgement of the S2 is going to be based on Rebirth. Nintendo does prioritize fps, more often than not. It is well worth the graphical sacrifice. Latency drops with increase fps, so games are far more responsive and the controls are way more accurate. BotW Upgrade is superb. I will happily drop MP4 to 1080p for the 120 fps. |
PC is an entirely different beast to a mobile device; a 2016 discrete PC GPU having more juice than a 2025 handheld isn't actually unusual.
In the console space, even base Cyberpunk exceeds what PS4 can handle in good shape, and the Phantom Liberty is more demanding on top of that, as it was developed without the constraints of 8th gen hardware.
It's pretty much the best looking game on the console so far, and manages that on top of being an open world title running a complex city environment, with higher settings than last gen home systems to boot; no small feat for a $450 handheld machine.
So far, I haven't seen anything else released on the platform that's more impressive.
