Is Nintendo going to be able to top Breath of the Wild, Odyssey, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Super Mario Bros. Wonder? Will it top the joy of the return of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door with a similar comeback for another game? I'm thinking no to all of those. And there were a lot of games I didn't even mention.
You also have to keep in mind games more or less across the board take longer to make year-on-year (and especially gen on gen) so it's likely we get 1-3 less big Nintendo games on Switch 2 than Switch.
And third-party exclusives or timed exclusives on Switch 2 will need to impress me since I have a PS5. If I didn't have other consoles, the amount of third-party games on Switch 2 that we'll probably get would excite me more.
And then there's the pricing. The console so far, I don't mind in that regard. But the controllers, games and such are getting more and more expensive.
I voted no, but I truly hope Switch 2 is even more awesome than Switch. Yeah, Switch 2 runs Switch games better too. But that alone isn't fair enough to make it a better gen. That would be like saying PS5's gen is automatically better than PS4's gen because it plays virtually every PS4 game and plays many of them with better performance.
