The endgame in this regime, or at least down the line is Orban's Hungary in the best-case scenario. Anti-immigration (even legal immigration of "undesirables"), anti-LGBTQ, some control over independent journalists and nongovernment actors, consolidated power in the government. We're getting there pretty rapidly.
I don't think Trump personally wants to try full-on for a totalitarian dictatorship in particular because he is too lazy.
