Maybe in Brazil, here an equivalent pre-build PC is at least double the price of a PS5. And then you still have a lot more hassle than the convenience of consoles.
My oldest takes his PS5 with him when he spends the weekend at the grandparents. The PS5 easily fits in a backpack and all you need is a controller and a power/hdmi cord.
My youngest can't take his desktop with him and now is looking at the XBox Rog Ally for playing at the grandparents, which will also cost a lot more than a PS5.
Neither is interested in Switch 2 which would be the cheaper alternative :/

A PS5 is far, far cheaper than an equivalent PC here in Brazil as well.
The digital version usually goes on sales for less than R$ 3000 (bundled with 2 games), and that is pretty accessible compared to the R$ 5000 it was at release.
Switch 2 is far more expensive than the PS5 here right now, as it's R$ 4500.
