I think PS could drag it out that long if they really wanted to, but XB definitely won't. Due to that, and technology rolling on, and I'm more prone to assume that 2028 would be as late as they'll wait.
I also don't see SNY dropping PS5 pricing this gen, and making next gen even more expensive is asking for trouble. To me, the best bet would be launch new hardware holiday 2028 and whatever they can cook up for $499, is what they should offer gamers.
A 2028 PS6 isn't going to see much of a boost from GTAVI though. Minor at best.
