Original timeline a world they failed in - when they showed cutscenes of the ending of OG FF7 in FF7 Remake.

I love final fantasy but the meaning you've derived from the titles is the peak levels of what is ruining these remakes for me. A bit too much convolution in my tastes and a level of fan service that is both alienating and derailing of coherent story telling. I also think it speaks volumes if this approach is shedding players like the plague. I also hated Advent Children BTW :)
