That is wildly inaccurate regarding Sony platforms, as it has been said (though they are harder to emulate), but Xbox consoles in fact never did attract much attention from the emulation scene, mainly because most of their games have always been PC multiplatform.

(Which is a shame, because there are games like Lost Odyssey, Panzer Dragoon Saga, the Gears games, that, to be fair, can be bought and run on a Series S/X, but that's not ideal for preservation).

Fair enough. Im not really into the emulating scene except for MAME, but I hear about Nintendo consoles being emulated all the time and never hear about Playstation or Xbox consoles.

I would agree with you I do think Nintendo emulation is a bigger thing really because Nintendo hardware is so weak typically for its price point so it gets emulated sooner and people can emulate newer games. You can emulate a PS2 but you can also pick up the console and games dirt cheap, same with xbox. I've seen games just released on Switch get emulated and often running at 4K 60fps looking so superior to original Nintendo hardware. It's a rare situation. The Switch 2 is great but its a hybrid console so even docked isn't that amazing. I guess the last Nintendo console that had competitive performance for its time was the Gamecube. I remember how my jaw dropped when I played Roque Squadron on it. It felt like a game that even the Xbox couldn't do (although it probably could have done if done by the same highly skilled developer). Zelda Windwaker still looks amazing on Gamecube, yes that is the fantastic art style of the game more than anything but still hugely impressive and no doubt Nintendo will be regurgitating that for Switch 2 owners.
