Hate to break it to some people but Nintendo was doing the iterative console upgrade ages before Sony and Microsoft even showed up.
In fact you could say they largely invented the whole damn concept. NES to SNES was the first really successful hardware transition from successful console to another successful console.
So Sony can fuck right off if they want to act like they some how have ownership of that idea now, lol, bunch of frauds. It would be like JJ Abrams claiming he invented Star Wars with The Force Awakens.
