The console is going to be 5 years old this November, there is no excuse, Sony has to have the profit margin to have dropped it long ago, and at the very last keep the price.
About the tariffs, the USA, the whole reason this even a thing, is not being impacted by any of these, which means Sony is clearly screwing over other markets, as important for them as Europe, to protect the USA because is has more competition there.
I don't live in Europe nor would buy the digital version, but Europe was always their most loyal customer base and they choose to screw them over at a whim.
By doing that they lose a lot of my respect.
