It would still be the best console version as PS4 is 1080p and PS4 Pro/PS5 never received a patch.

Having said that native 4k wouldn't be completely unbelievable, impressive but I'd wait for analysis or confirmation it's not upscaling from 1440p/1800p or something before believing any game that says "4k" without specifying native explicitly.

It's happened a lot with games this generation.

When I played it on PC I used a 1660 Ti and couldn't maintain 60 with 4k and that GPU is quite a bit better than a Series S.

At the end of the day most people won't notice a big difference between upscaled 4k and native 4k.

No, this information isn't from some random "Sega Employee". Makoto Suzuki from RGG Studios, the direct of the game, is the one says the games runs in 4k at 60fps on Switch 2.
