The sega employee just said "4k" when the guy asked right? I would be wary for immediately believing that's native 4k without any kind of upscaling from a slightly lower resolution.

It would still be the best console version as PS4 is 1080p and PS4 Pro/PS5 never received a patch.

Having said that native 4k wouldn't be completely unbelievable, impressive but I'd wait for analysis or confirmation it's not upscaling from 1440p/1800p or something before believing any game that says "4k" without specifying native explicitly.

It's happened a lot with games this generation.

When I played it on PC I used a 1660 Ti and couldn't maintain 60 with 4k and that GPU is quite a bit better than a Series S.

At the end of the day most people won't notice a big difference between upscaled 4k and native 4k.
