The Switch critics were small in number and in the minority. The Switch 2 critics are everywhere, and it's almost all you're hearing.

Don't try and memory hole it. Everyone was convinced Switch 1 was going to fail. People complained about the prices of it's games and accessories, the original convoluted plans of its online service, the lack of game announcements, the supposed lack of power.

There were a lot of legit concerns and backlash about the original Switch, similar to how there's a lot of criticism about how Switch 2 info was revealed. The only difference is that people are more on edge about it because of recent economic concerns.

If anything the impressions (especially people who got to demo the Switch 2 hands-on) have been far more glowing for Switch 2.

The criticisms and whining about pricing have been louder, but the only thing it's proving is that the demand for Nintendo has never been higher. People are reading the market signs backwards and thinking they're Nostradamus.
