Switch 2 hands on impressions are very positive. People like the hardware and games, and even the price of the console is reasonable for what you're getting. The problem really is just some of the games, and the fact that Nintendo has really bungled their communication on that front.

The Switch critics were small in number and in the minority. The Switch 2 critics are everywhere, and it's almost all you're hearing.

Don't try and memory hole it. Everyone was convinced Switch 1 was going to fail. People complained about the prices of it's games and accessories, the original convoluted plans of its online service, the lack of game announcements, the supposed lack of power.

There were a lot of legit concerns and backlash about the original Switch, similar to how there's a lot of criticism about how Switch 2 info was revealed. The only difference is that people are more on edge about it because of recent economic concerns.
