To be frank, the key cards are litteraly the only possible way they found to compromise with some third party games insane data load. We've only just got the 64GB cartridges to be "viable". But so many of them are past the 100GB mark.

What were expecting to happen there ?

Still will not forgive publishers like Crapcom and Square Enix being cheap ass mofos for games that could easily fit on these.

If Cyberpunk 2077 with all it's DLC can fit on the 64GB cart, there can't be more than a handful of games that can't with enough compression. They're just cheap.

And for them is simply all about not cutting into their profit margins I believe.

I don't think the game has its official price point but it's likely in the 70-80$ range.

The new cartridges used are likely more onerous than the one made for the OG Switch due to the faster reading/loading speeds.

I absolutely agree about what you said however, these companies could absolutely do as Cyberprojekt did with this port but realistically, we've seen what happened with third parties during the last few years, if there's a cheaper options like the download codes in a box. They will take it.
