This is not true, they questioned whether Nintendo would put battery time towards 1080p since 720p is pretty solid. They never said it is not possible. Them pixel counting the trailer Nintendo themselves released is exactly what we want. Someone looking at the game and saying its "4k" is not more conclusive. DF said its 1440p, which essentially meets modern definitions of decent 4k output as it will simply be upscaled for the output display. The same applies to 90% of PS5 games. Rarely do they actually hit native 4k.
