Maybe because it's still relatively fresh on Switch they don't want to already tout the Switch 2 edition while people are considering if they should buy it now or wait, but the 60fps mode people found in the code basically confirms it.

Even if they're niche sellers the Xenoblade IP value as the flagship RPG series for Nintendo makes them important enough, that I wouldn't be surprised if later in the year when they reveal Monolith Soft's next game they also reveal Switch 2 editions for all the Xenoblade games. Definitely at least this one.
