Yep. Like I said it's a beast. Should be leased out to second party studios or perhaps even third party. Seems to be able to do everything under the sun and all with great scalability, I'm sure they'd get Horizon Zero Dawn on Switch if they tried and it'd still look decent.

Then I'll go back to the original remark that made me quote you, that "finally a next gen game" and now that "FW doesn't feel like a next gen looking game" but Death Stranding 2 does.

The amount of stuff Forbidden West has over Death Stranding 2 all over the world is baffling. And it definitely looks as good or better than DS2 in many ways.

DS2 has a lot of beautiful land-like scenarios, meanwhile FW has insane amounts of vegetation paired with technology, and complex insanely detailed and modular robots all over it as well.

DS2 definitely has a considerable edge in some major character face models, tho. And I specially like how that liquid tar texture looks as well.

But DS2 would be running on a PS4 as well, I can't see how it is less taxing than Forbidden West.

Not that you can't have your opinion, but the fact that a game having a PS4 version meanwhile being one of the very best looking games ever, as is the case for GT7 and FW, makes it start being ignored over similar awesome looking games simply because that, doesn't sit well.

To the point we are talking about the very same engine now, an engine Guerrila made themselves, but still splitting hairs for the simple reason of a PS4 version existing or not.

I suppose we'll know when it comes out but if it looks THAT good with YouTube compression I can only imagine how it'll look otherwise. And yeah, there's the debate that more things on screen is better than graphical fidelity and I agree cause of Ghost of Tsuhima but it gets into the weeds then, Demons Souls Remake looks better in certain aspects over Forbidden West but it has the benifet of being linear and not much going on. Death Stranding 2 however is massive...I'm assuming... open world with a lot more going on. I think it'll be more do you like the vibrant, colourful slightly cartoonish look over the realism of DS2. That's subjective. Objectively it doesn't matter what's going on on screen, if it's open world or not and what the artstyle is as long as it looks better. DS2 looks photo real from what we can see. Depends on how you judge graphics, for me it'll probably be neither of these and Ghost of Yotei will win because of it's artstyle and particle effects.

All I'm saying is, we haven't had THAT moment yet with 9th gen and this could be the one that gets people going WOW, look at those graphics and how amazing they are. Hopefully with 40+ frame rate and little compromise to image quality.
