Speaking of David Lynch. The film "The Substance" will be interesting to fans of his. It's my favourite film of 2024.
There are also elements of Cronenberg, Kubrick, Verhoeven, Jonathan Glazer, and John Carpenter.

I'll say this much - the genre is art horror with dark satirical comedic themes - and the less you know, the better.

If either art horror or dark satirical comedy isn't your thing, stay clear. If it is your thing, I think you'll very much enjoy this one. Also, if you enjoyed films like Mulholland Drive or Under the Skin then you'll like this one. Also, if you like this one, you'll probably enjoy Under the Skin (Jonathan Glazer) and Mulholland Drive (David Lynch).

And for my fellow fans of cannabis here, this is a good one for that.
