We also don't know the behind the scenes are either, so I wouldn't defend this route as if we know it was always Nintendo's intention and optimal version of events. For sure though, none of this matters in the long run in terms of a successful launch, so its just a matter of discussing preference.

Doubt it. If they want third parties to announce their games they would have prepared a joined showcase. More likely than not, the first wave of third parties would be ports, but regardless a 1 hour length presentation with dozen of third party ports new to Nintendo's would immeditely demonstrate there will be many new games to play |
A showcase with +30 games announced? For big ones sure, but indies now can announce now games with the switch 2 loge and why not show the next doom game with switch 2 logo? The event can be big surprises...
