Thoughts on resusing assets/Maps in game or across titles?

I will say Spider-Man 3 (PS6) needs an overhauled map. I don't want a pretty similar map for the fourth game in a row. I'm aware it's based on real locations, so there will be a lot of similarities. They do central park well, I would hope for them to add country aide in, like up state Newyork. The could so the Tri state area and just add in some small towns and forests outside of the city areas. Wouldn't take much, they could use the existing SM2 map and just expand on it.
