I join you on your point. An iterative system like this is possibly isn't exactly gonna wow from the get-go by its hardware feature set that looks really close to the first Switch.
At the end of the day, what is the breaking factor on any console is gonna be a simple thing :
THE GAMES
We need to see how uniquely can Nintendo position the new hardware to have a place in the ecosystem with it's software offering.
Backwards Compatibility is already a nice thing, but it's statistically not the reason most people do migrate to a new system.
Need to see if they can exploit the performance of this new machine.
For all intense and purposes, I don't think the jump in power will change much of their development philosophy. I don't even think most of their games will push a graphical fidelity that's insane in comparison to the AAA industry.
Although it doesn't need and the Switch is the proof of that. Nonetheless, solid running performance seems more than attainable now thankfully.
