And this is thanks to cheap labour coming from abroad. It's not just are the wages rising, but also whose wages are rising and whose isn't. In the US democrats seem to be the middle class party and republicans party for the rich and the poor who have nothing to lose. There is no left wing who would be a party for the poor.

Wages are rising more quickly for those who are in the lower and middle classes than they are for the wealthy, with the lowest income level seeing the largest gains...
