Yeah, but I don't think Ukraine is just going to surrender if Trump cuts off all aid from the US. Maybe Ukraine won't fight until the bitter end, but it certainly seems like they've got some juice to make it costly for Russia. I just don't see Zelenskyy, or anyone else, giving up now while they can still fight, struggle as it might be. The Ukrainian people might be willing to make peace, even at cost, but I don't they're at all ready to essentially surrender. Trump would have to make both parties an offer they think they can't best for a quick peace (i.e. something involving de facto independence for Ukraine even in the future if they make peace, and probably much worse time for Russia if they refuse), and I don't think he's committed enough for that.

I don't think Ukraine will surrender either, but it'll be all the same to Trump, Ukraine eventually loses = The war stops, I don't think it matters to him how it stops, even if that means millions of Ukrainians slaughtered, as long as it stops and without American support Ukraine will quickly lose ground. There's also so many other things America could do to hurt Ukraine aside from stopping sending their own equipment. Also I think, Zelenskyy would be kind of fucked if he surrendered that easily, Ukraine is a heavy militarised country now, they'd probably be a military coup if the terms aren't good for Ukraine.

Not saying it's impossible, there's a slim chance that something could work, I'm just very unconvinced and I hope Europe doesn't wait around for it, actually straight up fucking pathetic how much Europe has dragged its feet despite the threat of Trump being known for years now. Extremely poor preparation planning.  Maybe Poland should threaten to enter Ukraine if America abandons Ukraine cause I know for a fact Poland doesn't want Russia on its borders and they have fear that if Ukraine falls due to the West's inaction and weakness, Poland and the Baltics will be next.

Yeah, I agree the situation isn't good, but we'll see how it pans out. I don't think Poland needs to be worried, because if Russia can maybe just barely handle Ukraine, they stand no chance against Poland, which is significantly wealthier and probably much, much better equipped, and also backed directly by NATO. I just don't see a world where Russia could gain anything from Poland without nuclear weapons. I think this is also known well enough in Poland. The Baltics, on the other hand, should probably be quite worried. It's absolutely pitiful how Europe has handled the whole situation. Here's hoping things improve with a dedicated defense commissioner in the EU now, but I certainly don't have my hopes very high.
