Having these games on Switch would have hardly made a difference in terms of Japan vs the world. Hell, many of them would have still sold better on Playstation in Japan due to brand association.

I did say partly. That said, plenty of multiplats have sold well on Switch in Japan, including those with Playstation heritage. Even if they simply matched PS sales, that's still doubling your current JP sales.
