This was my point about the switch 2 in general.  Can and will are two different aspects and business isn't about feelings, it is about money.  If optimization isn't worth the investment (or they don't have capacity), it isn't happening.  Doesn't matter if it is technically feasible.  

The point of a console is to optimize for one set of hardware.
And they have to optimize either way.

What we need to do as consumers is stop buying terribly made ports, irrespective of platform.

Agreed, which is why I'm going Plucky, and most other third party, on Steam and not Switch. 

I don't buy inferior versions of games just because of brand affiliation.
