Yeah, that isn't how business works.  If their code works for the ps4, ps5, xbox series s, series x, deck, ally, legion, etc...  There isn't motivation to optimize for a single piece of hardware that is outdated, unless there are foresights indicating the switch will have a disproportionate number of sales. 

This was my point about the switch 2 in general.  Can and will are two different aspects and business isn't about feelings, it is about money.  If optimization isn't worth the investment (or they don't have capacity), it isn't happening.  Doesn't matter if it is technically feasible.  

The point of a console is to optimize for one set of hardware.
And they have to optimize either way.

What we need to do as consumers is stop buying terribly made ports, irrespective of platform.
