FYI, this is why people are READY for the switch 2.

*Quote is from Nintendolife in regard to Plucky Squire.

There is a lot more to new hardware than just "prettier."  Many third-party games run quite poorly on the current switch, the hardware is just old and outdated.

Part of the blame needs to be put on the developer for not optimizing their games appropriately for the hardware.

They have known about the Switch's capabilities for 7 years, it's a known quantity, it hasn't changed, thus no excuses.

Yeah, that isn't how business works.  If their code works for the ps4, ps5, xbox series s, series x, deck, ally, legion, etc...  There isn't motivation to optimize for a single piece of hardware that is outdated, unless there are foresights indicating the switch will have a disproportionate number of sales.

This was my point about the switch 2 in general.  Can and will are two different aspects and business isn't about feelings, it is about money.  If optimization isn't worth the investment (or they don't have capacity), it isn't happening.  Doesn't matter if it is technically feasible.
