I don't think the european situation is as clear cut as you paint it, especially I wouldn't say they are in Israels pocket. With France, Spain, Norway and Greece important european countries supported the resolution.
Germany, Austria and Poland had actually concentration camps. I think they feel a sort of historic responsibility, I know that is the case for germany. I think Italy might have also had concentration camps. And for the UK it might be more a case of not to piss of daddy USA as one of pleasing Israel. Australia and Canada did the same, only New Zealand broke with the Five Eyes. The most interesting part is how many mini countries voted against: Nauru, Micronesia, Fiji, Palau, Tonga, Tuvalu. Here I would see a much more reliable case of they could be in Israels pocket.
