Got through the mighty 13 Sentinela Aegis Rim !
From the few big VN I played in the last year, I'd say confidently now it was at least one of my favorite if not the better I played in the genre.
To be frank, I didn't know if I'd be convinced like that cuz the free flowing kind of messed up structure of the story made me quite confused for the first part of it easily. But the game does pace itself relatively well with the big shake up reveals ... If not a bit too much by the end but it doesn't detract much from it's great conclusion.
Not easy for those in story heavy games but this one was a real treat ^^
The gameplay aspect with the mech fights is more than serviceable, the RTS sections were nice to progress through in chunks even if sometimes it seems weird to go from 5-10h of story time to go through a 2-3 hours of fights right after. Feels disconnected.
At last, I understand and agree with the high praises the game had back then. Can't say it really ranks among my TOP stories in the medium but definitely in my higher tier 👍
