I hate the people at Nintendo, they're the worst company when it comes to preservation of games.
But they're not wrong in this particular case. Switch is their current system, and emulate it right now could damage them. But taking down ROM sites for sharing games from over 30 years ago is not a good thing when you're doing an awful job at making classic games available.
