People really don't like to credit Sony for Niche man's success huh.

Activision made Niche man games until 2014 and they barely sold over 3 million per game.

Sony and insomniac's Niche Man PS4 sold over 23 million units and counting.

So yeah, it being a massive brand has little to do with its success.

By that logic, Avengers should have been a massive success as it is a Much Bigger brand than Niche Man.

Anyway, To each their own.

Literally nobody called it niche, it's a multi-billion dollar brand.

The old games took place before superhero mania took off in the 2010s, at a time when software sales across the board were far lower than today, and didn't get the kind of push that AAA exclusives get nowadays, it's a completely apples to oranges comparison.

Avengers failed cos people were tired of live service shit. Spiderman by contrast is a regular AAA action adventure, one of the most popular genres in gaming. It selling well was as predictable as Mario selling well.

Many have called it niche for a video game franchise. This forum is pretty slow when it comes to traffic so basing everything on this forum when the discussion here is limited to like 10 people at best, and what super hero craze are you talking about? Batman sold cause the games were literally 10s.
