Does Nintendo suck at making "Core gamer" consoles?

I don't think most core gamers own one console.  I have a number of friends who are into gaming and multiple consoles are normal.  The best combo by far is PC + switch.  

I think If a gamer has 2 consoles or pc and console it defeats the purpose of this discussion.
