Agreed. Even more so, besides the two games, the other games might be GOTY winners in less strong years. Actually I am not sure which two games you mean, a few days ago I would've been sure it is Zelda and BG3, but Alan Wake II is getting very good reviews and a lot of nominations, so that I wonder if it actually is on par with them. I have to play it to judge. How strong this year is can be seen also in which games didn't even get a nomination: Hogwarts Legacy and Starfield would've been nominees in 2022, but this year can't reach that.
