Nintendo also doesn't have a history of selling for $399, or Xbox for $499 but times change ~
Especially in Japan they essentially have a monopoly and I suspect that Switch Support will continue into 2025... For the most part the Top 30 in Japan is filled with old switch titles, so I don't think there's any major issue if the new system is a bit pricey.
