Yes you do get the occasional 40$ during the holiday while other companies are selling for 10-20$ during sales or holidays. Never mind we are talking  7 year old games and some even 10 years old. If you are gamer on budget Nintendo makes it hard that's for sure.

On the other hand, if you're a bit more into digital gaming, I'll have to point out the fact that does give out Gold Coins which can be redeemed for less costly or free games from time to time. Or the Voucher program which had TOTK included, in which you can buy two of their first party games for basically 50$ each on release.

Technically, these kind of deals are much advantageous for early customers.

Welp, I'm not into digital so it doesn't apply to me much haha

Same im not into digital. I rather have physical cause I can sell games if I want to. I just sold my ps4 pro with 11 games for 250$ kinda regret but I was able to get a ps5 and a new tv with out feeling that much pain basically 559$ out of pocket. I only buy games for 20-30$. I only bought totk   for 60$ because my nephew let me hold the switch till I beat it if I bought the game. Just bought Elden ring for 28$ on ebay used 2 months ago.
