If this was just like some random PC maker wanting to make a new game machine, don't think they'd care about Sharp talking about something new vaguely, but you know what company totally would? Nintendo.

and yeah, OLED is decently expensive and can have burn in issues, which could potentially be an issue for a console with a expecting 6+ year life cycle. not to mention cost.
LCD with some local dimming zones might make more sense here.
