I'm more lady back nowdays but I used to go into a "you give me and I give you back" mode where if someone is rude to me I would make sure to treat them to the exact same kind of rudeness as a reward.
I'm not from the USA, I'd no clue that it was some kind of war slang and I'm called racist and told to feel shame out of the blue, so yeah, I was really not happy with that attitude.
Japan is my favorite country in the entire world and I'm pretty sure anyone that actually have any conversation with me knows that pretty well.
I don't really care about what some people decide to think about me tho, that's their problem, not mine.
But I do take this stuff more calmly nowdays than what I used to, lol.
