You would be surprised by how far a kid can get in games. When I was 4, I could play through super mario world and even played a lot of FFIV. I think any Kirby game should be pretty easy for them.

We've been playing some this weekend and I see a lot of improvement from where he was a couple of weeks ago.  He's now competitive in 50cc Mario kart races (in 8 Deluxe, with steering assist.  On Wii U I think he would still drive off the course way too much), he didn't hand me the controller every time he saw an enemy in Astros Playroom, and he's running around and firing Aloy's bow at things without any help.

I imagine if I don't give him an easy game like Kirby, he might get himself to a point where he can play through some easier Mario levels 6 months from now.  But, when he was playing Kirby last weekend, that was clearly the most fun I've ever seen him have playing a video game. I literally had to drag him out of the store kicking and screaming because he didn't want to stop playing.

For reference, he just turned 4 years old a couple of weeks ago.
