@curl-6 Exactly. Though I've wanted a Switch Pro this year and then Switch 2 in 2025, I am starting to agree that they will not to a Switch Pro and just release a successor in 2024. The Switch probably won't surpass the PS2 & DS as a result, but it will still come respectably close.
If they market it as more of the same but more powerful with a killer launch lineup (Mario Kart Day 1, Animal Crossing the following Spring, Pokemon Gen 10 the following holiday, for example), they have a recipe for success. The PS5 & XSX are doing respectably well compared to their predecessors despite not having crazy gimmicks. Nintendo should take note of that. They could still do gimmicks within in the games themselves or through optional external hardware (like Labo & Ring Fit).
